The short story
Booty Quest is a TIGA Award-winning Match-3 game. Story-wise, it’s a fun and whimsical pirate adventure. My responsibilities were mostly related to narrative design and writing:
- Designing storylines (informing art and game mechanics).
- Creating character profiles.
- Writing dialogue.
The slightly longer story
When I joined the team, the game was still in its early stages. While the characters and general story had already been decided, they existed only in basic form, allowing me to flesh them out. Narrative was never the focus of the game, but I managed to add a lot of fun and whimsy to it anyway. Check out some dialogue examples below:
